The collection is primarily made up of a selection of homosexual erotica curated by Drewey Wayne Gunn which feature mystery, detectives, sleuths, police, and other related motifs. Gunn published the book The Gay Male Sleuth in Print and Film: a History and Annotated Bibliography, and this collection represents an incomplete sampling of works from that book. In addition to the movies themselves there is also an annotated bibliography created by Gunn with brief plot descriptions of each of the films and information about the producers, script writers, or others involved in the filmmaking process.
