The movie was directed by Clarence Brown, 1890–1987, and the screenplay was written by Clemence Dane, 1888–1965, and Salka Viertel, 1889–1978. The film stars Greta Garbo, 1905-1990, as Anna Karenina and also features Fredric March, 1897-1975, Freddie Bartholomew, 1924-1992, and Maureen O'Sullivan, 1911-1998.

Scope and Content:

Most of the correspondence is among the screenwriters, producers and directors of the film discussing various changes in the script. Correspondents include: Samuel Nathaniel Behrman, Joseph Ignatius Breen, Val Lewton, Louis Burt Mayer, David Oliver Selznick and William H. Wright.
