Biographical / Historical:

Professor William T. Morgan, 1922-1945, was a faculty member at Indiana University. He primarily studied the history and bibliography of the Age of Queen Anne. Queen Anne, 1665-1714, was Queen of England, Scotland and Ireland and subsequently Great Britain from 1702 to 1714.

Scope and Content:

The manuscripts in this collection concern political history with an emphasis on the factors that influence election results. The materials include subjects such as sovereigns and prominent political figures; military and naval history and prominent military and naval figures; diplomatic history; economic history; religion; colonization; union with Scotland; elections; county and borough franchises; political clubs; and literature (especially Daniel Defoe).

Note on Indexing Term - "Law": Of particular interest is the 1688-1689 proceedings of the Convention which made the Prince of Orange, King of England.
