Background

Biographical / Historical:

Keith Baker, 1906-1986, was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on June 4, 1906, to Max and Goldye Nathan Baker. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Baker started working for Baker Paper Co., the company his father had started in 1899. During World War II, Baker served as an officer in the Army Air Corps. On his return, he continued working for Baker Paper Co. and eventually became owner and president of the business. He was an avid collector of art and manuscripts. Baker retired in 1985 and died on April 11, 1986.
