- Biographical / Historical:
The documents are about a shop and adjacent property on Holborn Hill near Holborn Bridge which was once part of the Earl of Dorset's manor of Holborn. The property probably stood about where the Daily Mirror building was in 1966, as one document mentions it in conjunction with property in Shoe Lane.
- Scope and Content:
The collection consists of leases of 1621 and 1677; a bill of sale, 1621, for 1096 pounds; both halves of an indenture settling a lawsuit, 1652; and a will, 1699. All but the will are on vellum.
