Andrea Moorhead is a poet and translator who primarily translates French poems into English. Her translations include Canadian French poets such as Helen Dorion and Madeleine Gagnon along with numerous other writers. Besides her active career as a translator, she is also an editor of Osiris, a literary journal about poetry and translation. She participated in various other literary and translation projects as well. La Guepard, for example, was a project translating American poetry into French, to which she contributed translations of thirteen American poets. Moorhead's translations appeared on other French literary journals such as Ellipse and 12x2 Poesie, too. Moorhead also left the great amount of correspondence she exchanged with Helene Dorion, Madeleine Gagnon, and other authors, which well shows the process of literary translation as the creative interactions between the author and the translator.
