The Woodforde-Finden mss., 1914-1927, are letters written by Amy (Ward) Woodforde-Finden, 1860-1919, composer. The letters speak of attending concerts, but are primarily concerned with her husband, Lt. Col. Woodford Woodforde-Finden, 1845-1916, brigadier-surgeon, his serious illness and subsequent death. Six letters were written to Miss Clare Fletcher, 22 Morpette Mansions, Westminister, S.W., and the New Empress Club in Piccadilly. The seventh is to Mr. Barstow ..."Thank you so much for kindly sending me the letter for the Chief Librarian of the Reading Room at the British Museum...Please tell the Baroness that I will be delighted to meet her...."
