Background

Biographical / Historical:

As an undergraduate at the University of Arizona in 1976, Frank Graziano founded a non-commercial poetry journal that later evolved into Grilled Flowers Press, publishing at first in Iowa City but moving a short time later to Tucson, Arizona. With the assistance of various grants and the state arts councils of Iowa and Arizona, the press was able to publish writers of international prominence as well as their American peers. In 1980 Graziano and his wife, Laura Hobson, decided to turn what had been essentially a hobby into an organized and serious not-for-profit publishing house. Thus Logbridge-Rhodes was formed at that time in Durango, Colorado; it moved to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, about 1988. One of the last titles published was Silvio in the Rose Garden by Julio Ramon Ribeyro in 1989.

Scope and Content:

The Graziano mss., 1977-1993, consists of the correspondence, papers, and publication files of poet, editor, and small press publisher Frank Graziano, 1955- .
