Scope and Content:

The Friendship Garden Club mss. consists of the minutes, membership lists, and other records pertaining to the Friendship Garden Club of Bloomington, Indiana, from 1938-1995. The majority of documents found in this collection were created during the 1970s and 1980s. The collection includes meetings minutes, meeting roll call, and the governing constitution and by-laws. There are only two pieces of correspondence in the collection, dating to the 1990s and 2000s. The first letter is from Dr. Melville Martin to the friends and relatives of Friendship Garden Club member Mary Hanna. The other letter is from Barbara Diehl to a woman named Mary Kay, associated in some way with the club.
