Background

Biographical / Historical:

T. M. (Tracy Morton) Sonneborn, 1905-1981, was an early geneticist whose early work with paramecium was critical to the discovery of genetic recombination. Sonneborn taught and conducted most of his important work at Indiana University, 1939-1981. In 1959 the National Academy of Science presented him with the Kimber Award for Genetics.

Consists of scientific articles from the laboratory of T.M. Sonneborn, excluding those written by Sonneborn alone. Most of the articles pertain to genetics and Paramecium aurelia. The items include reprints, offprints and photocopies.
