The Kathleen d'Azevedo collection spans the dates 1956-1970. The collection consists of d'Azevedo's research on school-aged children from various villages in Liberia. The collection includes files on approximately sixty-six youths and their families that mainly document home life, family relationships and experiences in their various schools.

The series reference material is organized into four sections: youth information, additional reference materials, individuals and misc. materials.
