Biographical / Historical:

Debbie May is a music producer, primarily in the gospel music scene. As evidenced by this collection, she has worked with a number of artists, including Kirk Franklin, Bobby Jones, Slic, Heart, The Newtrons, and Alter Ego.

Scope and Content:

The collection is arranged in two series. The first series contains paper documents from May's work as a music producer, including promotional materials, schedules, descriptions of music videos, photographs, and other ephemera. The second series contains primarily commercial video and audio recordings of gospel music performances, including performances by Kirk Franklin, Bobby Jones, Rev. Timothy Wright, Donnie McClurkin, Dr. Charles G. Hayes, and many other individuals and choirs.
