Background
- Biographical / Historical:
The Academic Affairs collection was found in-tact in the Archives but contained no description or finding aids. The collection may have been donated by David Fulton or his administration around the same time that the Archives acquired the Non-Academic Programs collection.
- Scope and Content:
The Academic Affairs collection consists of three boxes containing a wide variety of information about academics at IU East between the years 1975 and 1994. The first box contains primarily information generated by the Arts and Sciences and the Humanities and Social Sciences schools. The second and third boxes contain primarily information generated by the Academic Affairs Council. The folders in boxes two and three are arranged in chronological order. The information contained in this collection includes: Academic Affairs Council memos and correspondence; academic goals; admissions reports and registration; Arts and Sciences divisional meeting minutes and agendas; Arts and Sciences mission statement; budget allocations and requests; class schedules and course offerings; course history analyses; credit transfer information; degree requirements; enrollment figures; faculty review forms; new program proposals and descriptions (in particular for the Behavioral Science and the History programs); retention; student GPAs and grade distributions; student profiles; survey assessments; syllabi; veteran enrollment; withdrawals and incompletes.
