Wilson graduated from Jackson Township High School in Arcadia, Indiana in 1896 and in 1905 received his MD from Central College of Physicians and Surgeons in Indianapolis. He served briefly as a missionary in Guanajuato, Mexico and then worked as a nurse at General Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska before serving as a medic in World War I. Ross of Winchester, Indiana on September 6, 1922 and together they had a daughter, Mary Alice Wilson McKee. The couple served as ministers to a variety of Methodist churches across central Indiana until 1948. During World War II, Wilson worked as a junior high school teacher in Noblesville and in 1953 he returned to Arcadia to serve as temporary minister to his childhood church and later also served the Noblesville Presbyterian Church for a short period. For many years, Wilson served as acting physician at the Epworth Forest Institute in North Webster, Indiana. In 1953 he was elected as a Noblesville Township trustee and served on the school board, welfare board, and as director of the Hamilton County tuberculosis board until his retirement in 1963. R.
