Background
- Biographical / Historical:
Carl Trancredi is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania record collector and author with a focus on music of the 1950s-1960s, especially rhythm and blues, early rock and roll, vocal harmony groups, and doo-wop music. Tancredi and Jim Bakay co-host the internet radio program, "Work With Me Annie," which aired on Thursdays from 8-10 p.m. via www.bluesandrhythm.com/workwithmeannie.html.
- Scope and Content:
Series 1 contains selected issues of periodicals collected by Tancredi, such as Bim Bam Boom, Record Exchanger, Soul Survivor, Time Barrier Express, and Yesterday's Memories. See the collection inventory for a complete listing of titles and issue details.
Series 2 and 3 contain personal papers, clippings, and radio programs related to Tancredi's work in radio. The CD-Rs in the collection contain episodes from the "Work With Me Annie" radio program.
