Biographical / Historical:

Tony Douglas is a writer and researcher of African American music. His book Jackie Wilson: Lonely Teardrops was published in 2001.

Scope and Content:

The collection contains images collected by Douglas while researching his book, Jackie Wilson: Lonely Teardrops. The photographic prints are reproductions of originals. The bulk of the images feature Jackie Wilson on stage or posing for group portraits. Also included is a print of a Gino Parks (born Geno Purifoy) portrait, who recorded for the Tamla-Motown record labels in the 1950s and 1960s.
