Background
- Scope and Content:
This collection documents the life and times of Theodore and Grace Dombrowski, long-time residents of Miller Indiana. Several record series constitute the collection, one for each family member. The series include biographical information, writings, correspondence, and education records. In addition, other series in the collection furnish information on the Tradewinds Rehabilitation Center, the Gary school system, and other local institutions. The collection also contains a large series of family photographs and newsarticles of local interest. The final portion of the materials comprises a set of menus, gathered by the Dombrowskis from restaurants in northwest Indiana, Chicago, and beyond. The collection has been processed in a preliminary fashion.
- Acquisition information:
- Deeds were given to the Calumet Regional Archives from Joanne and Grace Dombrowski in September of 1998.
