Background
- Biographical / Historical:
The Boone County Chapter of the American Red Cross was incorporated into the Indiana Red Cross in 1986.
- Scope and Content:
The collection contains 14 scrapbooks, ranging from 1941-1982. Newspaper clippings represent the bulk of the collection, but the scrapbooks also occasionally include letters, postcards, and photographs.
- Acquisition information:
- The scrapbooks were acquired from the Lebanon Public Library in February 2016.
- Custodial history:
These scrapbooks were rescued from a dumpster outside of the Boone County Red Cross location by a Lebanon Public Library employee. The scrapbooks were held there until the transfer to the IUPUI Philanthropic Studies Archives in 2016.
