The Delany mss., 1728-1760, consists of an anthology, a volume of original drawings, and the manuscript of Marianna by Mary (Granville) Delany, 1700-1788, artist and writer.

The Southey mss., 1799-1831, consist of the letters to and from Robert Southey, 1744-1843, poet.

The Wordsworth mss., 1805-1948 consist of primarily correspondence from William Wordsworth, 1770-1850, to family members, friends, and colleagues.

The Wordsworth mss. III, 1806-1956, consist of correspondence of William Wordsworth, 1770-1850, and of Mrs. Dorothy (Wordsworth) Dickson; a photograph of a chalk drawing of Wordsworth; and a photograph of Mrs. Dickson.

The Moore, T. mss., 1807-1825, are the poems of Thomas Moore, 1779-1852, and one undated letter.

The Coleridge mss., 1812-1871, consist of primarily correspondence from Samuel Taylor Coleridge, 1772-1834.

The Byron mss., 1816-1858, consist of letters, documents, drawings and prints of and related to Lord George Gordon Noel Byron, 1788-1824, poet.

The Rossetti mss., 1817-1893, consist of the correspondence of poet Christina Georgina Rossetti, 1830- 1894, and her two brothers: painter, poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti, 1828-1882, and author, critic William Michael Rossetti, 1829-1919.

The Bulwer-Lytton mss., 1827-1872, consist of letters of Edward George Earle Lytton, Lord Bulwer-Lytton, 1803-1873, author.

The Southey mss., II, 1834-1843, consist of poet Robert Southey's own annotated copy of his only published work of fiction The Doctor, &c (London: Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, Green and Longman, 1834-1847).

The Tennyson, F. mss., 1841-1922, are the papers of Frederick Tennyson, 1807-1898, poet, and his family.

The Tennyson mss., 1841-1954, consist chiefly of correspondence of Alfred, Lord Tennyson, 1809-1892, poet, and his family.

The Wordsworth mss. II, 1848-1909, consist of letters and papers of the family of William Wordsworth, 1770-1850, and their friends. They are concerned chiefly with family matters, financial accounts, and the welfare of Dora Wordsworth, 1858-1934, his granddaughter, after the death of her mother.

The Dobell mss., 1849-1947, consists of personal letters written by Sydney Thompson Dobell, 1824-1874, poet, to friends, and a few by friends about Dobell.

The Housman mss., 1861-1961, consist of correspondence and writings of Alfred Edward Housman, 1859-1936, poet, and correspondence about Housman.

The Housman mss. III, 1885-1970, consist of correspondence of John Waynflete Carter, 1905-1975, bibliographer, about Alfred Edward Housman, 1859-1936, poet, copies of Housman correspondence and writings, photographs of Housman and relatives, and manuscripts of articles and memoirs about Housman, including one by Edith Sitwell. Also present is a copy of the first proof of A.E. Housman's Collected Poems, (London, Jonathan Cape, 1939) annotated and corrected by John W. Carter.

The Sackville-West, V. mss., 1888-1962, consist of the letters of author Victoria Mary (Vita) Sackville-West, 1892-1962, and her husband, Sir Harold George Nicolson, 1886-1968, author.

The Russell mss. consist of correspondence, 1889-1933, and writings, 1895-1933, of George William Russell, (A.E.), 1867- 1935, poet, and of Frederic Prokosch, 1908-1989, author.

The Yeats mss., 1889-1954, consists of letters and writings of William Butler Yeats, 1865-1939, and materials about him, collected by Allan Wade, 1881-1955, compiler of A Bibliography of the Writings of W. B. Yeats... (London, 1951), and editor of The Letters of W. B. Yeats... (New York, 1955).

The Hutchinson mss., 1891-1900, consists of those cards and letters written to Thomas Hutchinson, 1856-1938, book collector, from various authors and removed from volumes formerly owned by Hutchinson.

The Thompson, F. mss., 1895-1945, consist mainly of writings by Francis Thompson, 1859-1907, poet, and letters from Wilfrid Meynell, 1852-1948, author.

The Abercrombie mss., 1909-1938, consists of letters and writings of poet Lascelles Abercrombie, 1881-1938.

The Leng mss., 1909-1957, consist of the correspondence and papers of English photographer and printer Kyle P. Leng (d. 1958) and his family. By far the bulk of the correspondence is with Robert Gathorne-Hardy, 1902-1973, covering the years from the beginning of their relationship until Leng's death, or 1921-1958. There are several folders of Leng's correspondence with various members of his family and several more folders of correspondence with colleagues and friends. Correspondence with family includes that with Robert Leng, Ruth Leng, William Leng, and most abundantly, his brother Basil Leng, as well as childhood letters from both Kyrle as well as Basil. Correspondents in this latter group include Cecil Beaton, Lord David Cecil, Norman Douglas, Lady Ottoline Morrell, Siegfried Sassoon, and Stephen Tennant. Much of these correspondence involve communciation between British socialites, royalty, and other wealthy or upperclass members of early 20th century British Society. Also present are photographs, some poems and other writings by Leng, and a few clippings or other printed items.

The Ross mss., 1910-1966, consist of correspondence of Robert Baldwin Ross, 1869-1918, art critic, and Siegfried Lorraine Sassoon, 1886-1967, poet.

The Drinkwater mss., 1912-1920, consists of the letters and writings of poet and dramatist John Drinkwater, 1882-1937.

The Mackenzie mss., 1912-1970, consists of the correspondence, essays, and photographs of author Sir Compton Mackenzie, 1883-1972.

The Housman mss. II, 1913-1943, consist of correspondence of Alfred Edward Housman, 1859-1936, poet, 1913-1936; and of publisher Grant Richards and classicist G.B.A. Fletcher, 1939-1943.

The Moore mss., 1916-1922, consist of letters from Richard Aldington, 1892-1962, author, and Wyndham Lewis, 1882-1957, author, to Thomas Sturge Moore, 1870-1944, poet and wood engraver.

The Binyon mss., 1916-1943, consists of the correspondence and writings of Sir Laurence Binyon, 1869-1943, poet and keeper of prints and drawings of the British Museum, and Lady Cicely Margaret (Powell) Binyon, 1876-1962, translator, compiler, and author.

The Eliot mss., 1920-1949, are letters from Thomas Stearns Eliot, 1888-1965, poet, to Clifton Fadiman, Sir Herbert John Clifford Grierson, and Sir Algernon Methuen Marshall, bar. Methuen.

The Drinkwater mss. II, 1922, consists of two letters from John Drinkwater, 1882-1937, poet, dramatist, to Mrs. Lewis, and a carte-de-visite photograph of Drinkwater.

The Williams, Orlo mss., 1924-1952, are letters to Orlo Williams, 1883-1967, author, from Thomas Stearnes Eliot, 1888-1965, poet.

The Gay mss., 1924-1976, consist of the correspondence of Kenneth Charles Gay, 1912- , librarian, with Robert Graves, 1895-1985, author.

The Mottram mss., 1925-1935, consist of letters to John Freeman, 1880-1929, poet and critic, and to Gertrude Ferren Freeman, his wife, from Ralph Hale Mottram, 1883-1971, novelist.

The Sackville mss., 1925-1950, are letters from Lady Margaret Sackville, 1881-1963, poet, to Mrs. Lorna Keeling (Collard) Horstmann, fl. 1964, poet, and the foreword by Lady Sackville for Mrs. Horstmann's play, The Immortal Rose.

The Parsons mss., 1928-1935, consist of letters written by poet Thomas Stearns (T. S.) Eliot, 1888-1965, to Ian Macnaghten Parsons, 1906-1980, publisher.

The Sassoon mss., 1928-1959, consists of letters from author Robert Gathorne-Hardy, 1902-1973, to poet Siegfried Sassoon, 1886-1967, and materials concerning Sassoon's book Common Chords (Mill House Press, 1951).

The X mss., 1928-1961, (principally 1959-1961), consist of the office files of X: A Quarterly Review, edited by David John Wright and Patrick Swift and published by Barrie and Rockliff, London, England, vol. I, no. 1, November 1959 to vol. II, no. 2, August 1961, inclusive.

The Nicholson mss., 1929-1973, consist primarily of letters from writer Robert Graves, 1895-1985, to his first wife, artist Nancy Nicholson, 1900-1977, and to his children by that marriage.

The Campbell mss., 1931-1936, consists of the writings of Roy Campbell, 1901-1957, poet, and correspondence with his wife, Mary Margaret (Garman) Campbell, 1898-1979.

The Palmer, H.E. mss., 1931-1957, are letters and inscriptions of Herbert Edward Palmer, 1880-1961, an English poet, which were removed from printed works in the Book Collection of the Lilly Library.

The Armstrong, T. mss., 1932-1945, consists of drafts and annotated printed copies of poetic works by author Terence Ian Fytton Armstrong, 1912-1970, who published as John Gawsworth.

The Fainlight mss., 1935-1982 [bulk circa. 1950-1982], consist of the papers of poet, Harry Fainlight, 1935-1982. The collection also includes correspondence of his sister, Ruth Fainlight, regarding Harry Fainlight written during and after his lifetime, as well as materials about him that she gathered and created after his death.

Consists primarily of the papers of the British publishing firm of Calder & Boyars Ltd. Also included are the papers of its predecessor John Calder (Publishers) and the personal papers of John Calder, 1927- . A few personal papers of Marion Boyars, 1928-1999, are also present.

The Heath-Stubbs mss. II, 1940-2000, consists of writings, correspondence, and personal materials of poet John Heath-Stubbs (1918-2006).

The Dickinson mss., 1941-1965, consists of the writings of poet and translator Patric Dickinson, 1914-1994.

The Ayelsford mss., 1941-1968, consists primarily of correspondence, articles, photographs, and miscellaneous material collected by friar Father Brocard Sewell, 1912-2000, during the years he edited The Aylesford Review, a literary quarterly sponsored by the British Carmelites, 1955-1968.

The Stanford mss., ca. 1945-1969, consist of the letters of Ian Hamilton Finlay, 1925-2006, poet, to Derek Stanford, 1918-2008, poet, including a number of undated incomplete letters covering the early years of their friendship, some writings by Finlay and Stanford, and a drawing by Finlay.

The Bunting mss., 1946-1967, consist of letters and postcards from author William Charles Franklyn Plomer, 1903- 1973, to writer Daniel George Bunting, 1890-1967.
