The Merrill mss., 1886-1916, consist primarily of letters from poet Stuart Fitzrandolph Merrill, 1863-1915, to his mother, Mrs. George Merrill (Emma Fitzrandolph (Laing) Merrill), who is addressed in these letters as "Dear Cornelia."
The Oyen mss., 1948-1968, are the letters of French essayist and dramatist Henry Milon de Montherlant, 1896-1972, to Pierre Emmanuel Oyen of Antwerp, Belgium.
The Quennell mss., 1959-1971, are the letters of Henry Milon de Montherlant, 1895-1972, essayist and dramatist, to Peter Quennell, 1905-1993, editor of History To-day in London.
