The Indiana University Library mss., 1937-1981, consists of the files of Bernard Campbell Gavit, 1893-1954, relating to his tenure as chairman of the Indiana University Library Committee, 1937-1942; the administrative files of former IU Bloomington Librarian Cecil Kash Byrd, 1913-1997; the administrative files of former IU Libraries Librarian Robert Alexander Miller, 1907-1989; and the administrative files, 1969-1981, of former assistant director for collection development, Wilmer Baatz, 1915-1991.

The IU Libraries Media Center mss., 1967-1972, consists of correspondence related to the acquisition of copies of Library of Congress tapes of poets reading their own works for use in the Listening Room and the Language Laboratory of Indiana University at Bloomington, Indiana.
