The Gilbert mss., 1867-1932, consists of typescripts of plays, 1867-1874, of Sir William Schwenck Gilbert, 1836-1911, and correspondence of Townley Searle, bibliographer of Gilbert.
The Pinero mss., 1896-1915, are mainly letters from Sir Arthur Wing Pinero, 1855-1934, dramatist, to Sir George Alexander, 1858-1918, actor and manager.
Echard mss., ca. 1903–1968, consist of the correspondence, newspaper clippings, articles, typescripts of mystery novels, short stories, plays, and scripts for stage and screen of writer Margaret Echard.
Allen, Harriet Herron Collins (Mrs. Samuel Ellsworth Allen), 1866-1942
The Allen family mss., ca. 1908-1972, consist of five letters from poet Nicholas Vachel Lindsay, 1879-1931, to Harriet Herron Collins Allen, (Mrs. Samuel Ellsworth Allen) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and of letters from several individuals involved with the theatre to the Harriet Allen's daughter, Ruth Collins Allen.
The Reynolds mss., 1912-1925, consist of positive photostats of letters, notes, and telegrams from George Bernard Shaw, 1856-1950, playwright, to Paul Revere Reynolds, 1864-1944, literary agent, who represented Shaw in the United States.
The Ervine mss., 1914-1957, consists of correspondence and writings of St. John Greer Ervine, 1883-1971, playwright and critic, and the letters and papers of his wife, Leonora Mary Davis Ervine.
