II, 1931-1954, consists primarily of the correspondence between Carroll Atwood Wilson, 1886-1947, lawyer and collector of Gilbert and Sullivan materials, and Townley Searle, Gilbert bibliographer of London, England, concerning the sale and collecting of items relating to Gilbert and Sullivan operas.

The Allen family mss., ca. 1908-1972, consist of five letters from poet Nicholas Vachel Lindsay, 1879-1931, to Harriet Herron Collins Allen, (Mrs. Samuel Ellsworth Allen) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and of letters from several individuals involved with the theatre to the Harriet Allen's daughter, Ruth Collins Allen.

The Arden mss., 1959, consists of plays written by English playwright John Arden, 1930-2012.

The Bennett, A. mss., 1910-1954, consist of letters, manuscripts, and an original cartoon by and relating to author Arnold Bennett.

The White mss., 1932-1969, consists of the correspondence, writings, and memorabilia of critic, editor, and writer William Anthony Parker (W.A.P.) White, 1911-1968.

Consists primarily of the papers of the British publishing firm of Calder & Boyars Ltd. Also included are the papers of its predecessor John Calder (Publishers) and the personal papers of John Calder, 1927- . A few personal papers of Marion Boyars, 1928-1999, are also present.

The Campbell, Mary mss., 1954-2012, consist of the personal correspondence, writings, photographs, concert and theatre programs, and professional materials of music and theatre journalist Mary Campbell.
