The Lilly Library is the rare books, manuscripts, and special collections library of the Indiana University Libraries, Bloomington. Its collections represent a diversity of subjects, including literature; children’s literature; history; folklore; science; radio, film and television; book collecting and bookselling; journalism; and translation.
The MacClintock mss., 1908-1928, consists of the travel diaries of William Darnall MacClintock, 1858-1936, professor of English, written in the form of letters to his family.
The Lockhart mss. II, 1921-1968, consists of the correspondence, photograph albums, etc. of economist Oliver C. Lockhart, relating to the period of his life spent working in China.
The Manchester mss., 1930-1933, consists of three photograph albums and a scrapbook of travels in East Asia, especially the Philippines and China, compiled by Margaret Day Manchester, 1899-?.
