The Shakespear family mss., 1825-1944, consists of the correspondence and papers of the families of Olivia Tucker Shakespear, 1863-1938, and her daughter, Dorothy Shakespear Pound, 1886-1973.

The Sharpe mss., 1733-1755, consists of papers from the office of John Sharpe, 1700-1756, London solicitor for the British West Indies, relating to the enforcement of the 1733 Molasses Act.

The Shaw mss., 1833-1908, consists of the letters and papers of William Shaw, 1817-1909, tailor.

The Shockley mss. consists of the notes and papers of historian Ernest Vivian Shockley, 1878-1924, relating to Indiana history.

The Shelden mss., 1984-1987, consist of letters written to Michael Shelden, 1951-, Indiana State University English professor, concerning the writer's relationship to, or reminiscences of, Cyril Connolly, 1903-1974.

The Signers of the Declaration of Independence mss., 1848, consists of materials pertaining to the members of the Continental Congress who drafted and signed the Declaration of Independence.

The Sinclair mss. II, 1895-1961, consists of copies of correspondence of and other materials relating to novelist Upton Beall Sinclair, 1878-1968.

The Sinclair, D. mss., 1911-1987, consists of the correspondence of physicist David Sinclair, 1901-1987, with his father, novelist Upton Beall Sinclair, 1878-1968, other members of his family, and Indiana University.

The Spencer County, Indiana, History mss., 1822-1861, consist primarily of legal documents related to the history of Spencer County.

The Rossetti mss., 1817-1893, consist of the correspondence of poet Christina Georgina Rossetti, 1830- 1894, and her two brothers: painter, poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti, 1828-1882, and author, critic William Michael Rossetti, 1829-1919.

The South Bend Amusement Company mss., 1918-1919, consists of daily throughput reports of Playland Park, owned by the South Bend Amusement Company of South Bend, Indiana.

The Soupart mss., 1916-1940, consists primarily of letters to Sylvia Soupart, 1884-1959, an English teacher at Bloomington High School, 1912-1920, from members of the armed forces in World War I.

The Wells, J.H. mss., 1880-1910, consists of photographs of people and buildings of French Lick, Indiana, and vicinity.

The Wilder mss., 1860-1868, consist of letters to Edson Adelman Wilder, 1845-1927, hardware merchant of Orland, Indiana, from his friends and relatives serving in the 100th regiment, Co. B., of the Indiana Infantry.

The Wilkins mss., 1797-1801, consist of official receipts to John Wilkins, 1761-1816, Quartermaster general of the U.S. Army, 1796-1812.

​The Esarey mss., 1912-1914, consists of the reports of a survey of Indiana newspapers and the draft of a history of newspapers in Indiana based on the survey.

The Esarey mss. II, 1830-1865, consists of a commission to Jonathan Davis Esarey, 1783-1858, as associate judge of Perry county, Indiana, 1830; deed for the transfer of real estate in Crawford county, Indiana, by John Hughes to Tolbort T. Yates, 1840; land grants to Jonathan Davis Esarey, 1837, 1841, to John Hughes, 1840, 1841, and Jesse Clark Esarey, 1817-1869, soldier, 1858; a commission to Jesse Clark Esarey as an ensign in the 12th regiment, Indiana Militia, 1841; report by Jesse Clark Esarey of the Perry county Oil Rifles, 1865; certificate issued to Jesse Clark Esarey for study and drill at the school of instruction at Burnside Barracks, 1862; a bill for rations furnished for picket duty at Cross Roads near Hitt's blacksmith shop, July 13-18, 1863, at the time of Morgan's Raid by G.W. Hitt; and a diploma to Louisa E. Hight from the Monroe County Female Academy, 1856.

The Enslin mss., 1962-1972, consists of letters from poet Cid (Sidney) Corman, 1924-2004, to Theodore Enslin, 1925-2011, writer.

​The Empire Stone Co. mss., 1902-1920, consists of the papers of the Bloomington, Indiana, based firm, Quarrymen of Indiana Oolitic Limestone, with quarries located at Smithville and in Lawrence County.

The Fitzgerald, E. mss., 1870-1920, consist of correspondence, art, writings, and translations of various artists, assembled by Edward Fitzgerald, 1809-1883, poet.

The Flanagan mss., 1861-1962, are the papers of Emma Cecelia (Rector) Flanagan, (Mrs. Edward E. Flanagan), 1870- 1964. They consist primarily of correspondence with the Dreiser and Rose families dealing with personal matters.

The Fontane, M. mss., 1879-1891, are those materials related to interoceanic canals formerly in the library of Marius Étienne Fontane, 1838-1914.

The Hunter mss., 1862-1893, consists of the Civil War documents of Morton Craig Hunter, 1825-1896, brevet brigadier general and congressman from Indiana.

The Harrison Township, Knox County, Indiana mss., 1796- 1888, consists of records of Harrison Township and Knox County, Indiana.

The W.H. Harrison mss. II, 1794-1834, consists of letters and papers, of William Henry Harrison, 1773-1841, territorial governor of Indiana and ninth president of the United States.

​The Eastman, A.F. mss., 1896-1956, consists of the correspondence of Anstice Ford Eastman, 1878-1937, surgeon, with his mother, Annis Bertha (Ford) Eastman, 1852-1910, minister; his father, Samuel Elijah Eastman, 1846-1925, clergyman; his sister, Crystal Eastman, 1881-1928, lawyer; and his brother, Max Eastman, 1882-1969, author.

The Harwell mss., 1943-1948, consists of letters from various writers, journalists, and artists to astrologer Pierce Harwell, 1916-1985.

The Haldeman mss. II, 1908-1951, consists of correspondence of writers and editors, including Emanuel Haldeman-Julius, 1889-1951, who were connected to Haldeman-Julius Publications.

The Riley mss. VI, 1876-1916, consist largely of transcripts of the letters of James Whitcomb Riley, 1849- 1916, poet, of Greenfield and Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Riviere mss., 1930-1951, consist of letters from various people, chiefly psychoanalysts, to psychoanalyst Joan Riviere, 1883-1962.

The Ripley County, Indiana mss., 1890-1896, consist of copies of manuscripts collected for the preparation of a history of the county.

The Latin American mss. Argentina, 1612-1944, consist of material principally about the independence period of Argentina for the years 1806-1823.

The Latin American mss. Mexico III, 1563-1855, consist of historical documents relating mainly to Mexico's colonial period.

The Latin American mss. Guatemala music manuscripts, late 16th-early 17th centuries (ca. 1570-1635), consists of 13 bound volumes and two fragments.

The Latin American mss. Nicaragua, 1603-1857, consist primarily of items concerning Nicaragua's independence from Spain and its short-lived federation with Mexico.

The McGreevey mss., ca. 1942–1972, consist of the correspondence and writings of John William McGreevey, 1922‑2010.

The Ricketts mss. III, 1856-1979, consist of the papers and correspondence of Coella Lindsay Ricketts, 1859-1941, calligrapher and illuminator, and of the work of The Scriptorium operated by Ricketts in Chicago.

The Piercy mss., 1911-1942 (mainly 1925-1929), are letters from English and American authors to Josephine Ketcham Piercy, 1895- , teacher of English at the University of Illinois and Indiana University.

The Elliott mss., 1926-1948, consists of papers of Richard Nash Elliott, 1873-1948, congressman from Indiana.

The Piercy, J.W. mss., 1889-1940, consist of letters and papers of Joseph William Piercy, 1866-1943, writer and professor of journalism, and his family.

The Rappite mss., 1810-1939, consist of correspondence, music books, and other papers of the Harmony Society founded by George Rapp, 1757-1847.
