The Randall mss. II, 1952-1972, consist of correspondence, galleys, and research materials relating to David A. Randall's book Dukedom Large Enough.

The Wells mss., 1831-1938, consists of correspondence from prominent statesmen and authors, some of which is addressed to Shakespearean commentator William Wells.

The Wenning mss., 1958-1987, consists of appraisals, correspondence, invoices and sales records, and catalogues of Henry W. Wenning, 1911-1987, a rare book dealer specializing in modern first editions.

The Wensinger, Arthur S. mss., 1798-2007, consists of the papers of translator and academic Arthur S. Wensinger, 1926- .

Margaret Albersmeyer Werling graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Education in 1953, and she earned an MS in Education in 1961. Werling's scrapbook contains photographs of campus buildings, the 1953 NCAA championship campus celebration, Little 500, the Fall Carnival parade, and commencement as well as tickets and programs from football games, IU Auditorium events, dance cards, and clippings related to campus life.

The collection consists of interviews conducted by Craig Werner with various musicians, including Bobby Womack, Ruth Donahue, and original members of Creedence Clearwater Revival.

The collection of music industry professional Logan H. Westbrooks contains professional and personal papers, photographs, sound recordings, video recordings, digital files, posters, books, memorabilia, artifacts and other material documenting his life and work from the 1930s through the 2010s. Professional papers pertain to his employment at Capitol Records, Mercury Records, CBS Records, CBS International, Soul Train Records, Source Records, and his management firm Ascent Music Inc. Personal papers pertain to his upbringing in Memphis, TN, the Church of God in Christ, lectures at California State University and Indiana University, philanthropic activities, and civic service. Topics include African American music industry executives; record labels; recording industry in United States, Africa, and Jamaica; African American musicians; black churches; rhythm and blues, soul, jazz, and funk music; radio and African American disc jockeys.

Richard S. Westfall was a professor of History, History of Science, and Philosophy of Science at Indiana University from 1963 to 1989. The collection consists of research notes, copies of published works, lecture notes, and class notes related to Richard S. Westfall's research on the scientific revolution in Europe, especially his biography of Newton. Also includes material on Galileo, mechanics, dynamics, and related topics. Includes a small amount of biographical and family material.

The West, R. mss., 1907-1984, consists of the correspondence of writer and journalist Rebecca West, 1892-1983.

The Weygand mss., 1930–1998, consists of the personal and professional archives of printer and publisher James Lamar Weygand, 1919–2003.

The Allen, W. H. mss., 1973-1989, consist of the correspondence and papers of publisher W. H. Allen in relation to author Alan Sillitoe.

The Wharton mss., 1836-1975 (bulk 1900-1937), consists of the correspondence, diaries, and writings of novelist Edith Newbold Jones Wharton, 1862-1937.

Homer Wheeler attended Indiana University from 1844-1846, studying law, literature and theology. His collection contains four letters between Homer and his brother Maro Wheeler. Letters discuss Homer Wheeler's arrival in Bloomington, his involvement with the Philomathean Society, and his job prospects upon graduation.

The Asquith mss. II, 1881-1957, consists primarily of the letters of English writer and journalist Charles Whibley, 1859-1930, to English novelist Lady Cynthia Asquitch, 1887-1960.

The Whistler mss., 1963-1967, 1973, consist of correspondence of the British poet Sir (Alan Charles) Laurence Whistler with Jean Frampton, the typist of his memoir The Initials in the Heart (1964) and other works.

The Whitcomb mss., 1933-1985, consists of the papers of former governor of Indiana Edgar Doud Whitcomb, 1917-2016.

This collection documents the activities of Geraldine Katherine White, who completed a B.S. in Commerce from the Indiana University School of Commerce and Finance in 1926. The materials date from 1922-1926 and consist of notes from Geraldine's classes and scrapbooks illustrating her life at IU.

The White, H. mss., 1927-1982, consists primarily of the correspondence of musician and writer Harry Anthony White, 1908-1982.

The Whitehouse, F. mss, 1848-1938, consist of architectural renderings, photographs, scratch board sketches, and pen & ink sketches of works produced by noted Chicago architect, Francis M. Whitehouse.

The Whiting mss., 1953, consist of the drafts of The Gates of Summer by John Robert Whiting, 1917-1963, playwright.

The Whitman mss., 1846-1878, consist of correspondence of Mrs. Sarah Helen (Power) Whitman, 1803-1878.

The Whitman, Sidney Edgerton mss., 1912-1977, consist of correspondence, typescripts, and other material related to the writings of author Sidney Edgerton Whitman.

Dolores C. Whitney graduated from Indiana University with an M.S. in 1950. This small collection consists of two scrapbooks and artwork.

Willie A. Whitten completed his Ed.D. from Indiana University in 1966. He made several trips to Liberia throughout the 1960s and 1970s as a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) worker in order to gather research for his dissertation. His research interests include education in Liberian villages with an emphasis on adult education and the conducting and planning of town meetings. This collection consists of newspaper and magazine articles from Liberia, government reports, and materials from the Voinjama School District, as well as 11 open reel tape recordings of town meetings and music from Liberian tribes. Also included are a collection of color transparencies showing images of tribal villages and culture, as well as a set of 86 artifacts containing items such as musical instruments, household tools, textiles, and decorative figurines.

Jack Wickes is an Indiana University alumnus who graduated in 1969. In 1968 he served as the president of the Interfraternity Council, the same year that Black students held a demonstration at the Little 500 to protest discriminatory admissions policies in IU's Greek system. This collection consists of materials dating from 1968 to 2000 that pertain to Wickes' involvement in this event, including correspondence, fliers, public statements, newspaper clippings, notes, and reports of his and others' experience. The materials date from 1968-2000.

The Wigglesworth mss., 1656-1762, consist of the letters and autobiography of Michael Wigglesworth, 1631-1705, clergyman.

The Wiggs mss., 1874-1936, are the papers of George Washington Wiggs, 1853-1938, grain dealer on the Chicago Board of Trade, member of the Press Club of Chicago, and an Indiana University graduate of 1874.

Ora L. Wildermuth was an Indiana University alumnus and trustee; a lawyer and judge; and a library trustee in both Indiana and Florida. He was also one of the first residents of Gary, Indiana. The papers of Judge Ora L. Wildermuth includes correspondence, diaries, speeches, lectures, and both published and unpublished writings. A great deal of genealogy information can be found in the Wildermuth Family Association series.

Roger Wilkinson was an Indiana University professor of physics from 1946-1968. Collection consists of correspondence, publications, lecture notes, and laboratory reports. The lecture notes included in the collection are from both Wilkinson's tenure as a professor as well as notes he took as a student at the University of Chicago. The Publication series consists of reprints of articles authored or co-authored by Wilkinson, 1951-1968.

York Willbern began his career at Indiana University in 1957 when he was named Professor of Government and director of the Bureau of Government Research. He was one of the founders of the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University, and was an accomplished scholar and author of many books and articles on the subjects of cities, public policy-making, urban planning and education for governmental administrative careers. This collection includes correspondence, writings, teaching files, project files, and records on a variety of subjects related to York Willbern's career and interests, including papers related to his book The Withering Away of the City, files on the American Political Science Association, and university committees such as the Urban Studies Committee.

The Willett mss., 1863-1875, consist of letters and documents of the George Willett family of Quincy and Walpole, Massachusetts.

The MacClintock mss., 1908-1928, consists of the travel diaries of William Darnall MacClintock, 1858-1936, professor of English, written in the form of letters to his family.

The Robinson mss., 1930-1960, consist of materials relating to the firm of W.H. Robinson and to the careers of the Robinson brothers, Lionel (1897-1983) and Philip (1902-1991).

Bonnie Louise Williams attended Indiana University from 1966 to 1970, graduating with a B.A. in Geography. This collection includes scrapbooks and papers pertaining to the academic and social activities of Williams.

Camilla Williams was an internationally acclaimed soprano opera vocalist who broke racial bias barriers in society as well as professionally. Miss Williams came to Indiana University in 1977 as a professor of voice at the Jacobs School of Music. The collection contains performance posters, correspondence, clippings about her career and former student's accomplishments, photographs, awards, plaques, and scrapbooks.

The Williams, Diane mss., ca. 1986-2008, include the correspondence, papers, and drafts of American short story writer, Diane Williams.

The Williams - Kuhn mss., 1921-1932, are the pen and ink cartoons of Gaar Williams, 1880-1935, and Charles H. Kuhn, 1892-1989, both cartoonists for The Indianapolis News at one time.

The Williams, J.S. mss., 19th cent. consist of reminiscences of John Samuel Williams, 1857-1940, Indiana schoolteacher, titled Skeletons from a Homespunner's Closet.

The Williams, Jonathan mss., 1738-1869, consist of letters and papers of Jonathan Williams, 1750-1815, merchant and soldier, grand-nephew of Benjamin Franklin and first superintendent of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Williams taught mathematics at Indiana University for nearly 50 years however, he was best known for his multi-volume work, Lincoln Finds a General, 1949. Williams was also the first commander of the Student Army Training Corps, later to be known as The Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) at Indiana University.

The Williams, K.P. mss., 1820-1958, consists of letters and papers of Kenneth Powers Williams, 1887-1958, professor of mathematics at Indiana University and author of Lincoln Finds a General.

The Williamson mss., 1885-1940, consist of correspondence and papers of George Charles Williamson, 1858-1942, author, relating to the Sette of Odd Volumes, a London society of which Williamson was a member.

The Williams, R. mss., 1862-1866, are Civil War letters to and from Rudolph Williams, 1844?- , and William H. Rudulph, 1840?- , both of whom served in Company K, 111th regiment, Ohio infantry.
