The Wells mss., 1831-1938, consists of correspondence from prominent statesmen and authors, some of which is addressed to Shakespearean commentator William Wells.

The Wenning mss., 1958-1987, consists of appraisals, correspondence, invoices and sales records, and catalogues of Henry W. Wenning, 1911-1987, a rare book dealer specializing in modern first editions.

The Wensinger, Arthur S. mss., 1798-2007, consists of the papers of translator and academic Arthur S. Wensinger, 1926- .

The West mss., 1937-1952, consists of writings, letters, and pictures of or relating to poet Robert Frost, 1874-1963, collected by Herbert Faulkner West, 1898-1974, professor of comparative literature at Dartmouth College.

The West, R. mss., 1907-1984, consists of the correspondence of writer and journalist Rebecca West, 1892-1983.

The Wharton mss., 1836-1975 (bulk 1900-1937), consists of the correspondence, diaries, and writings of novelist Edith Newbold Jones Wharton, 1862-1937.

These materials comprise a thirteen-part radio series of public service broadcasts produced by Sam Chase for WLIB radio in New York in cooperation with Newsweek Magazine.

Wheeler Mission Ministries is a charitable organization serving the material and spiritual needs of poor individuals and families in Indianapolis, Indiana through Christian evangelism and conversion. Begun in 1893 as a home for unwed mothers by the Meridian Union of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, it was expanded by William Vincent Wheeler later that year to include a Rescue Mission. Coupling its charitable work with programs to develop a sense of self-sufficiency among the poor, Wheeler Mission was among the city's first charitable operations of its kind and continues to serve the needy of Indianapolis. The records, 1904-1992, consist of the administrative files which contain the correspondence and subject files of superintendents Herbert E. Eberhardt and Leonard C. Hunt, financial files, documentation of Wheeler Mission Associated Groups, printed materials, some research materials from the Door of Hope publication, photographs and audio/visual materials.
