The McNutt mss. II consists of two portrait photographs of Paul V. McNutt, 1891-1955, and Mary Higgins.

The Calder mss., dates unknown, consist of a typescript of publisher John Calder's autobiography.

The Coronavirus Days: Archive Your Story is a collaborative effort between the Department of History and University Archives. The project contains 38 submissions that consist of written works, photographs, videos, and physical creations, all contributed by Indiana residents and Indiana University affiliates.

The collection consists primarily of CD-R copies of the radio series "Lessons in Jazz," produced by Kevin Anderson for MD Illegal Rap Radio. The series began airing in 2002 on Hampton University's student radio station WHOV 88.1 FM. Co-hosts of the series are Marcel "Big Cel" Canady and Montez "The Wiz" Martin.

Materials documenting the period Charles Connor, known as "Little Richard's original drummer," spent on the road with Little Richard, Sam Cooke, Dee Clark, Larry Williams, Chuck Willis, and others. Included are more recent articles, interviews, and audio recordings of Connor and an unpublished book manuscript.

Frank de Caro and Rosan Jordan are both folklorists who worked at Louisiana State University. They co-authored several books together. This collection includes drafts and correspondence pertaining to published works, de Caro's family history, as well as some of Jordan's teaching materials and research on Day of the Dead. Included in the collection are an extensive amount of postcards that were collected from various travels.

Lockridge mss. III, circa 1837-2000, consists of the correspondence, unpublished manuscripts, photos, papers, and audio tapes pertaining to the life and work of author Ross Lockridge, Jr., 1914-1948, and the Lockridge family.

Materials collected from the composition studio of Leonard Bernstein, a conductor, composer, and musician active during the mid-20th century. The collection includes recordings, books, scores, awards, artwork, clothing, furniture, and other artifacts pertaining to his professional and personal life.

The Winston mss., ca. 1998 - 2011, consist of drafts of German literature translations by Krishna Winston, a professor in the German Studies Department at Wesleyan University.

The Landers mss., ca. 1990s-2008, consist of the manuscripts and papers of Clifford E. Landers, Professor Emeritus of Political Science.

The Wing mss., ca. 1984-2010, consist of materials pertaining to the literary translations of Elizabeth Nelson Wing.

The Catbird Press mss., ca. 1983-2003, consists primarily of the files of small, independent book publisher Catbird Press.

The Ferguson, A. Claude mss., ca. 1970–2009, consist of the correspondence, collected subject files, writings and legal records of Claude Ferguson, a career employee of the U.S. Forest Service who was instrumental in the creation of the Charles C. Deam Wilderness area, Indiana's only Federal Wilderness area, in the Hoosier National Forest.

The Thom, James Alexander mss., 1966-2013, consists primarily of writings and correspondence related to Indiana novelist James Alexander Thom's publications.

Consists of the correspondence and papers of Indiana University Distinguished Professor Emeritus Scott Sanders (b. 1945), who taught at IU from 1971-2009.

The Lilly Library Photograph Files mss. consists of photographic prints and negatives depicting materials in the Lilly Library, principally arranged by call number of the materials depicted.

Donald E. Hattin served as a professor of geology at Indiana University from 1954 to 1995. His collection consists primarily of materials relating to his research, published works, and teaching files.

This collection contains the records of the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunications Service (IHETS) and its related entities. IHETS arose from the passage of the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunications Act by the Indiana General Assembly on March 11, 1967. The service oversaw statewide telecommunications systems connecting university campuses and partner institutions, including voice, video, and data networks.

The Ngũgĩ mss. (ca. 1950s-2014) consist of the papers of Kenyan author, playwright, essayist, educator, and activist Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o.

The Kael mss., ca. 1939-2001, consists of the papers and correspondence of film critic and author Pauline Kael, 1919-2001.

The National Federation of Music Clubs mss., ca. 1935-2007, consist of scrapbooks, files, minutes, correspondence, periodicals, photographs, and newspaper clippings documenting the work of the organization.

The Wright B. mss., ca. 1930-2009, consists of the papers of translator Barbara Wright relating to her English translations of French authors.

The Bradley M. mss. ca. 1929-2002 consists of the papers of sculptor, art restorer, Morton Clark Bradley, 1912-2004.

The Wensinger, Arthur S. mss., 1798-2007, consists of the papers of translator and academic Arthur S. Wensinger, 1926- .

The Lindenbaum, Peter mss., ca. 1590-2008, consist of the papers of Dr. Peter Lindenbaum (1938-2010), a former English Professor at Indiana University.

The Gottfried mss. consists of Latin manuscripts and a working translation of Giovanni Della Casa's Rime by Rudolf B. Gottfried, 1909-1986, professor emeritus of English, Indiana University.

Collection consists of casting, production, and promotional materials used by James Spooner in the production of his film White Lies, Black Sheep and materials associated with the film Afro-Punk including interview footage, promotional materials, film festival awards, and periodicals in which the film and/or Spooner was highlighted.

This series contains audiovisual recordings of events hosted by the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame including the annual Oscar Micheaux Awards Ceremony, Independent Film, Video & Screenplay Competition awards ceremony, Film and Lecture Series, annual symposium, and Black Filmworks film festival, as well as various workshops, lectures, interviews, and miscellaneous smaller events.

This series contains administrative documents generated by the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame in the process of planning and producing the annual Oscar Micheaux Awards Ceremony and the Celebrity Dinner and Dance Gala from 1974-1993. Also included are a handful of documents related to planning a 23rd, 24th, 30th, and 35th awards ceremony between 1995 and 2008, although these ceremonies ultimately were never hosted.

This collection contains a wide array of materials documenting the history and activities of the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame (BFHFI). The materials were collected and/or created by Mary Perry Smith from the time immediately predating the BFHFI's first Black History Month celebration in 1974 to the efforts of its remaining supporters to revitalize the organization following its final film festival in 2003. Highlights include event publicity and souvenirs; celebrity memorabilia; moving image and screenplay submissions to the BFHFI's annual competition; Phil Moore's personal papers, arrangements, lyric sheets, recordings, and photographs; video recordings of BFHFI events; correspondence; and administrative, board, and planning documents.

This series contains documents and artifacts that do not fit within the other series of the collection or whose fit within the collection cannot be determined. Included are roughly three dozen U-matic videocassettes of the 1989 Black Choreographers conference and production cassettes for a project on Black soldiers.

This series contains documents stemming from Mary Perry Smith's activities outside of the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame and a few of her personal papers.

The Josef Gugler collection consists of promotional materials for films produced in or directed by filmmakers from Africa and the Middle East. Over 500 unique films by approximately 350 film directors are represented. Formats include film posters, pressbooks, chirashi flyers, lobby and storefront cards, handbills, photographs, slides, and audiovisual recordings.

This series contains research files used to support the activities and publications of the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame (BFHFI).

The Phyl Garland Collection consists primarily of personal papers, including original typescripts for Garland's columns in Ebony and Stereo Review, and related research and photographs. Also included are 41 original audiocassette recordings of interviews conducted by Garland (except as noted) primarily with various African American musicians, artists, and filmmakers. Topics include African American composers and musicians as well as various genres of music including, but not limited to, jazz, R&B, soul, rock, classical, and blues. Record company publicity materials include publicity photos and press releases for over 900 artists.

This series contains books, event programs, newsletters, and journals by third party publishers from the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame library.

This series contains memorabilia related to the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame including inductee plaques and handprints, signed books and programs, offical government proclamations and commendations, costumes and clothing, and an assortment of additional three-dimensional and print artifacts.

Papers and related materials of writer, researcher, and professor J. Ronald Green. The collection contains research, drafts, and correspondence pertaining to the publication of Green's books Straight Lick: The Cinema of Oscar Micheaux (2000) and With a Crooked Stick—The Films of Oscar Micheaux (2004), as well as a number of his scholarly articles.

Frisch, Shelley mss., ca. 2012—, consist of the writings and translations of translator Shelly Frisch. The collection includes corrected drafts and copy edits for a biography of Kafka, translations of Sooner or Later by Husch Josten and works by Stefan Klein: Survival of the Nicest and Leonardo's Legacy.

The Contreni, John J. mss., 2015, consist of a typescript and printed issue containing Contreni's article "'A Story that Can't be Printed'" about the final ceremony held at the burial of Ernie Pyle on Ie Shima.

This project centers around interviews with professional and/or personal acquaintances of Elinor and Vincent Ostrom. Every interview explores a unique relationship with the Ostroms and the continuing impact of the Ostrom Workshop at Indiana University. Elinor (Lin) and Vincent Ostrom founded the Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis in 1973.The Ostrom Workshop has been the catalyst for worldwide collaboration in the field of public policy and environmental issues. "Coming Together" is an interdisciplinary exploration of the legacy and impact of Elinor (Lin) and Vincent Ostrom. Major topics include; academia, "the commons", cross-disciplinary collaboration, Elinor Ostrom's Nobel Prize, the Ostrom Workshop, political science, political theory, and the Workshop on the Ostrom Workshop (WOW) conference. The project was created to assist in the dissertation research of Sara Catherine Clark, who was a doctoral candidate within the School of Education, pursing a Ph.D. in History, Philosophy, and Policy in Education, at Indiana University Bloomington. Sara Catherine Clark's dissertation was completed in 2019 and is cited as follows: Clark, S. C. (2019). Elinor ostrom: A biography of interdisciplinary life.

Congressman Lee Hamilton (1931- ) was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Indiana from 1965-1999, and worked as a Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee. His scope of work allows him to draw poignant connections between the social and political upheaval of the 1960's Vietnam War and Civil and Women's Rights Movements with the challenges of the first decades of the 21st Century. He describes the shift of the American experience from post-WWII exceptionalism to the cynicism of the Watergate Scandal and 9/11. His anecdotes about Presidents from Johnson to Obama (including Christmas Day games with Bush) offer quirky, insider perspectives about each of their idiosyncrasies. He is now a member of the U.S. Homeland Security Advisory Council and is the Director of the Center on Congress and a professor at Indiana University, encouraging youth to improve on the flaws and structural issues of Congress he saw while working there.

This collection consists primarily of audio and video files of interviews with alumni of the IU Soul Revue and African American Arts Institute at Indiana University, including students, administrators, and directors of performing ensembles. The majority of the interviews were conducted with individuals who were members of the IU Soul Revue during its first ten years, under the direction of Dr. Portia K. Maultsby.

Collection documenting the AAAMC's 2014 panel discussion and exhibit, Hot Buttered Soul: The Role of Foodways & Musicmaking in Building and Sustaining African American Communities, which explored the intersections between sacred and secular music genres and traditional foodways as signifiers of African American life and culture. Featured panelists include Dr. Psyche Williams-Forson, Dr. Tyron Cooper, Dr. Alisha Lola Jones, and Dr. Mellonee Burnim. Includes audio, video, image, and research files.

The Johnson, John mss., 2013, consists of teaching materials for Professor John Johnson's course, "Folklore in Film."

"Bloomington Cares" Oral History Project was a class project used to study voluntary organizations that focus on historical and cultural activities in the Bloomington community.

The Plath mss. VII, ca. 2012, consist of posters, schedules, handouts, programs and other ephemera related to the events surrounding the Sylvia Plath 70th Year Literary Symposium, 2002 and the Sylvia Plath Symposium 2012 - The October Poems: the Archives and the Creative Process Seminar, which were held on the IU Campus.

The Dollenmayer, David, mss., circa 2011-2013, consists of the typescripts and drafts of German-to-English translations by translator David Dollenmayer.

This collection of commercially-produced and student-created board games is intended for use in New Media, Art and Technology courses.
