Consists primarily of the correspondence and papers of Claude Renoir, 1901-1969, film producer, together with some papers of his better-known filmmaker brother, Jean Renoir, 1894-1979. The correspondence includes letters between the brothers regarding both family and film matters, as well as other business correspondence relating to the various film projects in which Claude and Jean were involved from Nana in 1926 to Opera-Musette in 1942. There are also film scripts and synopses by Claude and by Jean Renoir, financial documents, a film distribution notebook, a notebook of Claude's notes for "Cezanne," and photographs of Claude and Jean Renoir from 1914-1968.

The Latin American mss. --Mexico II, 1560-1940, consists of individual items acquired separately either as a gift, purchase, transfer, or removal from a variety of sources, complementing the materials in the Latin American mss. Mexico collection. Additions continue to be made.

The Bingham, W. mss., 1752-1891, consist of the correspondence, writings, personal and business papers of American statesman William Bingham, 1752-1804.

The Allen mss., 800-1972, consists of manuscript pieces collected by William Edward David Allen, 1901-1973, foreign service officer, businessman, and author, and his own writings about Georgian history.

The Wiggs mss., 1874-1936, are the papers of George Washington Wiggs, 1853-1938, grain dealer on the Chicago Board of Trade, member of the Press Club of Chicago, and an Indiana University graduate of 1874.

The Frasier mss., 1934-2014, consist of David K. Frasier's research materials, drafts, and related correspondence for his encyclopedias of show-business homicide and suicide as well as his biography/bibliography of Russ Meyer. Also included is correspondence with and writings about serial killer John Wayne Gacy and filmmaker Kenneth Anger.

The Rosenberg mss., ca. 1938-1982, consist of letters from film critic and reviewer Pauline Kael, 1919-2001, to longtime friend Violet Rosenberg.

The Barnstone mss., 1948-2015, consists of the papers of poet and translator Willis Barnstone, 1927-.

The Boxer mss. III, 1647-1999, consists of the correspondence, papers and memorabilia of historian Charles R. Boxer, 1904-2000.

The Sonneborn mss., 1922-1981, consists of the papers of American biologist Tracy Morton Sonneborn, 1905-1981.

The Norvelle mss. II, 1920-1981, consist of the papers of Lee Roy Norvelle, 1892-1984, Professor Emeritus of Speech and Theatre at Indiana University. Present are correspondence, travel memorabilia, the typescript and galleys for Professor Norvelle's autobiography, The Road Taken (IU Foundation, 1980), and five reels of tape recordings.

The Campbell, Mary mss., 1880-2013, consist of the correspondence, writings, photographs, concert and theatre programs, and professional materials of music and theatre journalist Mary Campbell and her family.

The di Giovanni, Norman Thomas mss., ca. 1953-1994, consists of the correspondence and writings of the author and translator, Norman Thomas di Giovanni, who is known for his collaboration with Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges.

The Moorhead mss., 1989-2020, consist of translations from the French and correspondence of poet and translator Andrea Moorhead (b. 1947).

The Germany, Vera Josephine mss., 1954-1992, consists of the writings of romance novelist Vera Josephine "Jo" Germany.

The Lütgenhorst, Manuel mss., ca. 1965-2007, consists of the papers, artwork, photographs, and films of Manuel Lütgenhorst regarding his work as an award-winning set, costume, and lighting designer.

The Preston, Robert mss., ca. 1930s-1990s, consist of correspondence, photographs, and memorabilia of stage and screen actor Robert Preston.

The Baker Street Irregulars mss., 1923-2007, consists of correspondence, business files, and publications of the Baker Street Irregulars, a Sherlock Holmes literary society founded in 1934.

The Ostrom, Elinor mss., ca. 1889-2024, consist of the research, papers, correspondence, publications, manuscripts, proposals, photographs, audio tapes, and realia of Vincent and Elinor Ostrom, their colleagues and families, and the Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis.

The Kripke mss., 1495-2020, are the papers of Madeline Kripke (1943-2020), a dictionary collector and bookseller whose wide-ranging interests included slang lexicography, Tijuana bibles, and hoboes.

The Woods mss., 1943-2023, consist of personal papers, correspondence, and manuscripts of German-language works translated into English by John Edwin Woods.

The Gekoski mss., 1946-2022, consist of materials relating to RA Gekoski Booksellers as well as correspondence and production materials relating to Gekoski's writing, publishing, and teaching careers.

The Martone, Michael mss., 1968-2025, consists of the papers of Michael Martone, 1955- , author of several novels, collections of essays, and many pieces of short fiction.

The Wakefield mss., 1950-2023, consists of the papers of novelist, journalist, and screenwriter Dan Wakefield, 1932-2024.

The Elder, Robert K. mss. II, 2001-2020, consist of personal correspondence from writer and journalist Robert K. Elder to his collaborator Aaron Vetch.

The Kessler mss., 1966-2024, consists primarily of manuscripts, drafts, correspondence and other material reflecting the creative life of Stephen Kessler (b. 1947), poet, translator, essayist and editor.

The Zeman, Angela mss., 1985-2019, consists of the correspondence, writings, and professional materials of American mystery author Angela Zeman.

The Brochmann, Elisabeth mss., circa 1910-1917, consist of letters and related material addressed to Norwegian literary translator Elisabeth Brochmann (1858-1915), best known for her translations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The Quinn mss., 1896-1930, contains the correspondence of dramatist John Millington Synge, 1871-1909; the final draft of his play, The Playboy of the Western World; and the writings of other authors, chiefly Amory Hare, 1885-1964.

The Partridge mss., ca. 1914–1979, consist of the correspondence, notebooks, and drafts of the works of lexicographer, Eric Partridge, 1894–1979, perhaps best known for his dictionaries of slang and unconventional English.

The Revilliod mss., 1919-1971, are the papers of Mrs. Olga (Masaryk) Revilliod, (Mrs. Henri Jules Revilliod), 1891-1978, daughter of Tomas Garrigue Masaryk, 1850-1937, president of Czechoslovak Republic, 1918-1935. They consist of letters from her sister, Alice Garrigue Masaryk, 1879-1966, sociologist, 1950-1962; from Mrs. Ruth (Crawford) Mitchell, 1890-1984, social service worker, 1954- 1964; from U.S. senators, who were sponsoring a bill in Congress for Henri Jules Revilliod, 1873-1956, physician, and Mrs. Olga (Masaryk) Revilliod, to become permanent residents of the United States; from scholars not to pursue the matter of finding a publisher for volume III of the Spirit of Russia; from publishers; and from personal friends. Many of the letters are in Czech. Included are also thirty-one sketchbooks, 1920-1956, of sketches made by Henri Jules Revilliod; a musical composition, Vanocni Koledy, by Karel J. Staller, 1958; memorabilia; pictures; newspaper clippings, and other printed matter. Among the correspondents are Selden Daskam Bacon, Price Daniel, Frederick May Eliot, Harry David Gideonse, Ivan Herben, James Hovorka, John Howland Lathrop, Herbert Henry Lehman, Edward Martin, Alice Garrigue Masaryk, Kenneth Dexter Miller, Mrs. Ruth (Crawford) Mitchell, Premysl Pitter, William Arthur Purtell, Hugh Doggett Scott, James Thomson Shotwell, Grace Harriet Spofford, and Sir Stanley Unwin. The first box in the collection contains biographical information.

The Lasselle mss., 1756-1840, are papers of Hyacinth Lasselle Jr., 1806-1876, assembled during his time as judge.

The Petersen mss., 1781-1935, is a collection of letters from thirty-nine British writers to various friends and associates.

The Latin American mss. Peru II, ca. 1760-1820, consists of 25 documents which describe living conditions, roads, local Indians, etc. in Peru.

The Ashton mss., 1818-1876, consists of the papers of textile designer William Adolphus Ashton, 1803-1870.

The Barker mss., 1953-1954, consists of four notebooks of George Barker, 1913-1991, author, and an undated letter from him to David John Wright, 1920-1994, author.

The Alexander mss., 1895-1943, consists of the letters and papers of Indiana University librarian William Albert Alexander, 1875-1943.

The Hadley, E. mss., 1861-1888, consists of letters written during and after the Civil War to Indiana farmer Enos Hadley, 1825-1893.

The Nolan, Val mss. consists of the speeches, papers, correspondence, and photographs of Val Nolan, 1892-1940, graduate of the Indiana University Law School, U.S. District Attorney, and trustee of Indiana University.

The Sassoon, R. mss., 1950-2017, consists of writings and photographs of paintings by writer and painter Richard Sassoon, 1934-2017.

The Blair, M.A.I. mss., 1684-1897, consists of letters and documents collected by art collector and benefactor Mary Anne Italia Mitchell Blair, 1855-1940.
