The Lilly Library is the rare books, manuscripts, and special collections library of the Indiana University Libraries, Bloomington. Its collections represent a diversity of subjects, including literature; children’s literature; history; folklore; science; radio, film and television; book collecting and bookselling; journalism; and translation.
The Shakespear family mss., 1825-1944, consists of the correspondence and papers of the families of Olivia Tucker Shakespear, 1863-1938, and her daughter, Dorothy Shakespear Pound, 1886-1973.
The Sassoon mss., 1928-1959, consists of letters from author Robert Gathorne-Hardy, 1902-1973, to poet Siegfried Sassoon, 1886-1967, and materials concerning Sassoon's book Common Chords (Mill House Press, 1951).
The Price mss. consists of correspondence, December 11, 1925-October 12, 1927 and January 18-31, 1961, of John M. Price, 1899- , American agent for Ezra Loomis Pound in the publication of The Exile, a little magazine which Pound edited. Four numbers appeared, spring 1927-autumn 1928.
The Pound mss. V, 1948-1972, consist primarily of the London business files of A.V. Moore relating to royalties, publications, and permissions of Ezra Pound.
