Biographical Note
Formerly a missionary in Arabia, 1909-1930, Edwin Elliott Calverley, 1882-1971, became a trustee of the American Research Center in Egypt and of the American University at Cairo. He was the author and editor of several books. Calverley also famously translated Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali's The Mysteries of Worship in Islam . This collection is on permanent loan from the E.E. Calverley Arabica Collection of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri.
