Some of the African Americans represented in this collection are Sidney Poitier, Paul Robeson, Lena Horne, Dorthy Dandridge, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, Hattie McDaniel, Richard Pryor, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, Halle Berry, Lonne Elder III, Spike Lee, Keenen Ivory Wayans, John Singleton, James Earl Jones, Pam Grier, Vanessa Williams, and others.
Consists of typescripts of films written by, directed by or starring African Americans.
