Adam J. Sorkin is a Romanian-to-English translator whose translations include works by Liliana Ursu, Ioan Flora, Mircea Ivănescu, and Ion Mureșan. Sorkin's translations have earned him the Ioan Flora Prize for Poetry Translation, the Moldovan Writers' Union Prize, and the Poetry Society (U.K.) Prize for European Poetry Translation, among others. Sorkin is Distinguished Professor of English at Penn State Brandywine.
The collection consists of drafts, page proofs, and other materials related to Sorkin's translations of works from Romanian to English.
