Biographical Note
Peter Wortsman (b. 1952) is an author, medical and travel journalist, and translator of literature from German to English. Wortsman attended Brandeis University and was a Fulbright Fellow in 1973, studying German folklore at Albert Ludwig Universitat in Freiburg West Germany.
Scope and Contents
Writings consist of typescripts and materials related to books, plays, short stories, and articles written by Wortsman. Translations consist of drafts and materials related to Wortsman's translations of various German works. Correspondence includes personal and professional letters regarding publishing and readings. Presentations/Lectures consist of research materials and transcripts of presentations and speeches given by Wortsman. Miscellaneous includes a number of manuscript documents, both personal and professional, as well as other research and professional file materials.
