Biographical / Historical

Martha Avery received a BA in Chinese and Japanese languages as well as an MBA from the Wharton School before entering the field of publishing. Until 2019, Avery was president of Avery Press, Inc., whose goal was to foster intellectual exchange between Western and Chinese markets and authors.

Scope and Contents

The collection consists of block prints, manuscripts and printing blocks of Mongolian and Tibetan rolls and scrolls.
