Acquisition information:
Purchase: 1986
Processing information:

Processed by Hal Parkinson, under the supervision of Kyra Triebold.

Arrangement:

The archive is divided broadly into five categories: I. Correspondence, II. Capra Press publications, III. Non-Capra publications, including other publishers' works reprinted by Noel Young, IV. Capra Press printing records, and V. Miscellaneous Capra Press documents. The contents of each series are arranged by the name of the author or correspondent, then sorted by date, and finally by folder title.

Due to the large size of Series II, its folders are physically arranged similarly to their original order, and are sorted in boxes by date, then author name. Intellectually, this series follows the same organizational structure as the rest of the collection, and is arranged alphabetically by the author's name first, and then sorted by date.
