Charles Alexandre Lesueur, 1778-1846, was an artist and naturalist who lived for over a decade in Indiana's utopian New Harmony.

The Lesueur mss., 1819-1830, consist of eight letters to Charles Alexandre Lesueur, 1778-1846, artist and naturalist, six being from Nicholas Marcellus Hentz, 1797-1856, educator; one from Arnould[?] Hentz, May 2, 1820; one from Etienne Caillaux, Catholic priest, Jeremie, Haiti, June 9, 1830; and bills of lading for minerals shipped by or to Lesueur.
