Dale Messick, 1906-2005, was a cartoonist and author of the Brenda Starr, Reporter comic strip from South Bend, Indiana.
- Scope and Content:
Numerous individual dates are lacking, as well as extended periods in late November and December 1948, the entire period between May 8 and August 15, 1949, from November 11, 1951 through January 6, 1952, and from June 11 through August 24, 1952 (except for the presence of panels for July 5 and 8). All stories represented are incomplete.
Two panels, Sept. 13 and 14, 1948, are present in printed form only.
Each panel is dated with month and day of its appearance in print.
