Background
- Biographical / Historical:
Paul Bruner was born in Corydon, Indiana in 1941, graduating with a B.A. from Indiana University in 1963 and receiving his M.F.A. from the Pratt Institute in 1968. During his extensive career as a graphic artist and designer, he has worked at Diener-Hauser-Greenthal Agency, Loews Corporation, Avon Books and taught courses at Finch College, as well as the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.
- Scope and Content:
The collection consists of materials related to "The Plains" and Bruner's artist book rendition of the poem, as well as materials related to the Rutgers University student interpretations of Frank O'Hara's "In Memory of My Feelings." Paul Bruner would like this collection to be dedicated to Senator Robert P. O'Banon and Judge C. Bliss Eskew. This collection is acknowledges a be co-donated by John O'Bannon.
