- The Carroll L. Lurding Library of College Fraternity and Sorority Materials mss., ca 1840-2014, consist of books, pamphlets, histories, yearbooks, and other bound volumes detailing the history of fraternities, sororities, colleges, and universities from all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the United States as well as some colleges in Canada.

The documents are from approximately 800 institutions and approximately 120 individual fraternities and sororities.
- Scope and Content:
The collection is organized into the following series: I. Oversize; II. Sororities; III. Fraternities; IV. Professional and Other Fraternities; V. General Fraternity/Sorority Material; VI. Colleges and Universities; VII. Other College Material.
Items in each series may include rosters, articles, yearbooks, newsletters, handbooks, pledge manuals, catalogs, photographs, membership information, and other historical materials. Most of the materials are arranged alphabetically by fraternity, sorority, or academic institution.
In the case that a particular volume contains information for a Greek organization and an academic institution, or for multiple academic institutions, there is a note under that item detailing where it is cross-listed and whether it has a different location.
