Background

Biographical / Historical:

Mike Mullin is a graduate of Indiana University and a successfully published young adult author. His most notable work thus far has been the Ashfall series. Ashfall, the first novel in the series, was named one of the top five young adult novels of 2011 by National Public Radio, a Best Teen Book of 2011 by Kirkus Reviews, and a New Voices selection by the American Booksellers Association. While a writer since a very young age, Mullin has also engaged in ample business and marketing endeavors, especially with regard to his mother's business, Kids Ink Children's Bookstore. Mullin resides with his wife in Indianapolis.

Scope and Content:

The collection consists of two typewritten, annotated drafts of the first two novels in the Ashfall Series. Ashfall is in a binder and Ashen Winter is spiral bound. Both drafts have notes and comments written by an editor.
