Mac Linscott Ricketts is a retired professor and chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Louisburg College in North Carolina. Ricketts studied the history of religions with Eliade and has written a number of academic works on Eliade and his theories and writings. Ricketts has translated Eliade's novel The Forbidden Forest as well as his many of his autobiographical writings, scholarship, and prose.
