The Höbel mss., circa 2000-2002, consist of translations from English into German by Susanne Höbel. Included are two corrected manuscripts for John Updike's volume of essays, More Matter. Published as two volumes in translation, the first was titled Wenn ich schon gefragt werde (Rowohlt Taschenbuch Verlag, 2001) and the second as Updike und ich (Rowohlt, 2002).
