Background
- Biographical / Historical:
The Indianapolis Mapping and Geographic Infrastructure System (IMAGIS) project was the base mapping and the subsequent mapping of the utility company overlays for Indianapolis Water, Gas, Sewer, and Electric systems. The project and planning was carried out between 1987 to 1989 by the IUPUI Geography Department in colloboration with Mid-State Engineering.
- Scope and Content:
The IMAGIS Project Collection contains agreements between the Indiana University trustees, the City of Indianapolis, and various ulitity departments, plans and procedures for database construction, and meeting minutes. The collection covers the early planning stages through the porject implementation between 1985-1988.
