Background
- Biographical / Historical:
Jared Nickerson is a bassist who has worked with a variety of artists, including The Roots, Darlene Love, Melvin Van Peebles, and Charlie Musselwhite. He was the Black Rock Coalition's first director of operations and booked the group's first two day mini-festival, titled "Stalking Heads" at CBGB's in New York City.

This collection consists of materials related to the Black Rock Coalition (BRC) from the years 1987 to 1997. The collection contains mainly press materials such as publicity photographs, posters, magazines, and newspaper clippings. In addition it contains business contracts, performance itineraries and organizational correspondence.
