The Lilly Library is the rare books, manuscripts, and special collections library of the Indiana University Libraries, Bloomington. Its collections represent a diversity of subjects, including literature; children’s literature; history; folklore; science; radio, film and television; book collecting and bookselling; journalism; and translation.
The Wagner mss., 1974-1985, consists of letters, writings, and drawings by and about cartoon artists collected by cartoonist Charles Alan Wagner, 1948- , of Peru, Indiana.
The Keene mss., 1880-1890, consists of letters from Charles Samuel Keene, 1823-1891, a humorous artist for Punch from 1851-1890, who also made drawings for other periodicals including the Illustrated London News and Once a Week and for various books.
The Jackson, C.B. mss., 1912-1931, consists of the works of cartoonist Charles Bacon "Chic" Jackson, 1876-1934, and his wife, Mrs. Margaret (Wagner) Jackson, 1877-1943, lecturer.
