The Indiana University Library mss., 1937-1981, consists of the files of Bernard Campbell Gavit, 1893-1954, relating to his tenure as chairman of the Indiana University Library Committee, 1937-1942; the administrative files of former IU Bloomington Librarian Cecil Kash Byrd, 1913-1997; the administrative files of former IU Libraries Librarian Robert Alexander Miller, 1907-1989; and the administrative files, 1969-1981, of former assistant director for collection development, Wilmer Baatz, 1915-1991.
The Eliasberg mss. consists of the letters of Vladimir Eliasberg, a doctor for the German army during World War I, and two French documents he found while stationed in France in 1918.

The Von Tress mss., 1916-1993, consists of photocopies of manuscripts, pictures, records, letters, and published articles drawn from a memory book of Edward Campbell Von Tress, 1899-1976, an alumnus of Indiana University who helped head the university's Memorial Fund as Alumni Secretary.
The Custer mss., 1876-1933, consists of a copy of the Proceedings of the Court of Inquiry, January 13, 1879, in the case of Major Marcus A. Reno concerning his conduct at the Battle of the Little Big Horn River, 1876.
