The Bird, W. mss., 1923-1963, consists of the correspondence of Three Mountains Press publisher William Augustus Bird, 1888-1963.

The Saturday Review of Literature mss., 1946-1956, consists of letters from author Upton Sinclair, 1878-1968, to Norman Cousins, 1915-1990, and Harrison Smith, 1888-1971, editors of the Saturday Review of Literature.

The X mss., 1928-1961, (principally 1959-1961), consist of the office files of X: A Quarterly Review, edited by David John Wright and Patrick Swift and published by Barrie and Rockliff, London, England, vol. I, no. 1, November 1959 to vol. II, no. 2, August 1961, inclusive.

The Veridian mss., 1981, consists of materials relating to the founding and publication of the first issue of the Veridian newspaper, published in Bloomington, Indiana.

The Minnesota Review mss., 1973-1981, consist of the correspondence, printers manuscripts, and proofs of the New Series of the literary magazine published first in Madison, Wisconsin, and later in Bloomington, Indiana.

The Wroth mss., 1961-1967 and 1969, are letters to William Henry Wroth, 1938- , co-editor then living in Eugene, Oregon, of The Northwest Review.

The Colfax mss., 1853-1884, consists of the papers of South Bend, Indiana, newspaperman, speaker of the House of Representatives, and vice-president of the United States Schuyler Colfax, 1823-1885.

The Munsey mss., 1911-1942, consist of correspondence between The Frank A. Munsey Co., publishers in New York City, and seven authors or their agents concerning publication rights and in some instances film rights.

​The Esarey mss., 1912-1914, consists of the reports of a survey of Indiana newspapers and the draft of a history of newspapers in Indiana based on the survey.

The Haldeman mss. II, 1908-1951, consists of correspondence of writers and editors, including Emanuel Haldeman-Julius, 1889-1951, who were connected to Haldeman-Julius Publications.

The Raintree Press mss., 1975-2010, consist of manuscripts, galleys, etc., of the Raintree Press of Bloomington, Indiana.

The Merrymount Press mss., circa 1904-1941, consist of in-house press printing order files relating to the production of Christmas cards, bookplates, and advertising ephemera.

The Richards mss., 1904-1922, consist of letters to London publisher Grant Richards, 1872-1948, or to his secretary, Miss P. Hemmerde.

The Methuen mss., 1892-1944, are the stock ledgers of the publishing records of Methuen & Co., publishers, London.

The Peter Owen, Ltd. mss., 1968-1984, consist of correspondence files of the publishing firm Peter Owen, Ltd., London, England, with author, translator Margaret Crosland, 1920- , novelist Rhys Davies, 1903-1978, and writer David Le Vay, 1915- .
