The Bonacio, Bennie mss., 1945-1946, consist of clippings, correspondence, scrapbooks, and programs relating to jazz saxophonist Bennie Bonacio, as well as several recording discs of Bonacio's performances and compositions.

The Busch mss., 1895-1952, are the manuscript scores and papers of Fritz Busch, 1890-1951, German conductor and composer.

The Busch mss. II, circa 1945, consists of a bound manuscript copy of Shubert's Taenze-Suite orchestrated by Fritz Busch and an LP record given to Thomas Eisner on his sixteenth birthday by Busch.

The Busoni mss., 1901-1920, are the letters of Ferruccio Benvenuto Busoni, 1866-1924, Italian pianist and composer. Born in Tuscany and dying in Berlin, Busoni writes these letters in German. To Otto Lessmann of Charlottenburg in 1901 and 1902 he writes about his recent concert tour and comments on the work of the Norwegian composer Christian Sinding.

The Campbell, Mary mss., 1954-2012, consist of the personal correspondence, writings, photographs, concert and theatre programs, and professional materials of music and theatre journalist Mary Campbell.

The Carmichael mss., 1921-1955, consist of the papers of Hoagland Howard (Hoagy) Carmichael, 1899-1981, composer, radio artist, recording artist, writer and actor for Broadway shows and motion pictures.

The Cinti-Damoreau mss., 1827-1856, consists of letters and a contract of singer and composer Mme. Laure (Cinthie Montalant)Cinti-Damoreau, 1801-1863, who resided much of her life in Paris, France.

The Cinti-Damoreau mss. II, 1844, consists of an autograph letter signed by Mme. Laure (Cinthie Montalant) Cinti-Damoreau, addressed to "O. Moran Esq."

The Cooper mss. II, ca. 1905-1985, consists of the papers of newspaperman Kent Cooper, 1880-1965, and of his wife, Sarah A. Gibbs Cooper, mostly dating from after Kent Cooper's death. Most of the collection concerns his work as a journalist, but some of it relates to his work as a composer.

The DeVincent mss., ca. 1922-1997, consists primarily of correspondence, notes, photographs, etc., of musician and radio entertainer Sam DeVincent, 1918-1997.

The Dvořák/Thurber mss., ca. 1885–1937, consist of documents, correspondence, and ephemera relating to Antonín Dvořák, Jeanette M. Thurber, and the history of the National Conservatory of Music of America (NCMA). These materials were collected by Professor Robert Aborn, whose dissertation The Influence on American Musical Culture of Dvořák's Sojourn in America, may be read in its entirety at ScholarWorks.

The Ege mss., 12th-16th century, consists of original leaves from medieval manuscripts of Western Europe collected by Otto F. Ege, 1888-1951.

The Frasier mss., 1934-2014, consist of David K. Frasier's research materials, drafts, and related correspondence for his encyclopedias of show-business homicide and suicide as well as his biography/bibliography of Russ Meyer. Also included is correspondence with and writings about serial killer John Wayne Gacy and filmmaker Kenneth Anger.

The Friday Musicale mss., ca. 1925-1980, consist of calendars, programs and achievement books of the Bloomington, Indiana affiliate of the National Federation of Music Clubs.

The Gellert mss., 1927-1978, consist of the correspondence and writings of Lawrence Gellert, 1898-1979, composer and author of Negro Songs of Protest.

The Gellert mss. II, mid-twentieth century, consists of unpublished drafts and fragments of a novel by folklorist and composer Lawrence Gellert, 1898-1979.

The Heiden mss., ca. 1922-1998, consist of the of the music manuscripts, sketches, pencil scores and ink manuscripts, programs, clippings, and professional and personal correspondence of Bernhard Heiden (1910-2000) and his wife, Cola de Joncheere (1910-1999).

The Helm-Malipiero mss., ca. 1939-1982, consist primarily of correspondence of Everett Burton Helm, 1913-1999, author and composer, with and about composer and musicologist Gian Francesco Malipiero, 1882-1973.

The Helm mss., 1693-1965, consist of operatic scores largely in the hands of copyists, works of Mme Laure (Cinthie Montalant) Cinti-Damoreau, 1801-1863, singer and composer, and documents connected with the opera in Bologna, collected by Everett Helm, 1913-1999, composer and musicologist of New York and Asolo, Italy.

The Hines mss., 1942-1996 consists of photograph albums, audio and video recordings, and other memorabilia relating to soprano Lucia Evangelista Hines' opera career.

The Kaufmann mss., 1959-1965, consists of a photoreproduction of the complete orchestra score and libretto for The Scarlet Letter (1961), and the first draft, complete score, and photoreproduction of A Hoosier Tale (1966), two operas by composer and conductor Walter Kaufmann, 1907-1984.

The Kerlin mss., 1798-1925, consists of the papers of Mrs. Harriet Barton (Kerlin) Bentley, (Mrs. Frederick James Bentley), and members of three generations of her family.

The Latin American mss. Guatemala music manuscripts, late 16th-early 17th centuries (ca. 1570-1635), consists of 13 bound volumes and two fragments.

This collection contains correspondence, manuscripts, and other written materials related to Laura Boulton's career. The majority of the papers are from the 1920s-1970s. The National Federation of Music Clubs mss., ca. 1935-2007, consist of scrapbooks, files, minutes, correspondence, periodicals, photographs, and newspaper clippings documenting the work of the organization.

The Nettl mss., 1927-1967, consist of letters of Paul Nettl, 1889-1972, musicologist, during his residence at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey, and at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.

The Payne, L. mss., 1871-1972, are the papers of Lesley Payne, 1894?-1976, musician, and niece of James Whitcomb Riley.

The Phyl Garland Collection consists primarily of personal papers, including original typescripts for Garland's columns in Ebony and Stereo Review, and related research and photographs. Also included are 41 original audiocassette recordings of interviews conducted by Garland (except as noted) primarily with various African American musicians, artists, and filmmakers. Topics include African American composers and musicians as well as various genres of music including, but not limited to, jazz, R&B, soul, rock, classical, and blues. Record company publicity materials include publicity photos and press releases for over 900 artists.

The Poole mss. are a collection of 137 ancient, medieval and renaissance manuscripts and single leaves ranging from the 3rd to the 16th century. The collection was formed by George Amos Poole, 1907- , printer, of Chicago, whose interest was in the development of scripts which have had a direct influence on the design of Western printing types, rather than in illumination and decoration. Most of this material relates to religious matters.

The Preston, Robert mss., ca. 1930s-1990s, consist of correspondence, photographs, and memorabilia of stage and screen actor Robert Preston.

The Urbánek mss., 1887-1914, consists of letters from composers Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky, 1840-1893, and Giacomo Puccini, 1858-1924, to Velebín Urbánek, 1853-1902, of Prague.

The Walker, Barclay mss., 1859-1927, consists of musical compositions by Barclay Walker, 1859-1927, an Indiana composer, and by his daughter, Mary Josephine (Walker) Wolff.
