The Verdi mss. consists of a portrait of composer Giuseppe Verdi painted on a wooden panel.

This project is a compilation of interviews of subjects with strong ties to and memories of Indiana University, primarily at the Bloomington campus, including former students, faculty, and staff, among others. The information spans most of the twentieth century and deals with the administrations under presidents Herman B Wells, John Ryan, Thomas Ehrlich, and Myles Brand. The project occurred in two parts. The first round of interviews was with administrators, trustees, and other high-ranking members of the university hierarchy. The second round of interviews was with senior faculty from a number of departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. The project is a survey of Indiana University's history as a whole including information about various academic departments, athletics, student organizations, campus growth, and the university's growth in the twentieth century. This project was funded by President Emeritus John Ryan.

The Maxey, Betty mss., dates unknown, consist of the artwork and papers of illustrator Doris Elizabeth "Betty" Maxey.

The O'Brian mss., ca. 1970-1994, consists primarily of notes and full-text manuscripts of author Patrick O'Brian's historical sea novels. Autograph manuscripts for eighteen of the twenty published novels are present.

The Cameron mss., ca. 1955-1965 consists primarily of original art, writings and book design materials for six children's books written and illustrated by Polly Cameron. Includes also children's fan letters, art and cards sent to Cameron.

The Curry, J.S. mss., ca. 1941, consists of those watercolors of John Steuart Curry, 1897-1946, illustrator, which he prepared for illustrating the Limited Editions Club volume of The Literary Works of Abraham Lincoln.

The Bradley M. mss. ca. 1929-2002 consists of the papers of sculptor, art restorer, Morton Clark Bradley, 1912-2004.

Consists of individual items acquired separately either as a gift or purchased from a variety of sources, relating to or by French literary figures. Additions continue to be made.

The Allen mss., 800-1972, consists of manuscript pieces collected by William Edward David Allen, 1901-1973, foreign service officer, businessman, and author, and his own writings about Georgian history.

The Ricketts mss., 9th-19th cent., are illuminated medieval and renaissance manuscripts assembled by Coella Lindsay Ricketts, 1859-1941, calligrapher, of Chicago, Illinois. Most of the material relates to religious matters.

The Devenyi mss. consists of the manuscripts, original illustrations, and other relevant materials, ca. 2002, for the miniature book "My Name is Leonard," published by Beaux Art Publishing under the direction of Mary and Paul Devenyi.

The Bloomington Area Arts Council mss., 1985–2007, consists of organizational documents of the Bloomington Area Arts Council (BAAC).

The Reutersvärd, Oscar mss., 1980-2000, consist of original drawings of impossible figures and correspondence from/about artist Oscar Reutersvärd, mainly with physicist Bruno Ernst.

The Hoffman, Rosekrans mss., ca. 1977–1997, consists of six original signed and dated prints from noted artist Rosekrans Hoffman, children's book author and illustrator.

The Bellevue Gallery mss., 1976-2014, consist of promotional material and artwork from the Bellevue Gallery in Bloomington, Indiana.

The Wagner mss., 1974-1985, consists of letters, writings, and drawings by and about cartoon artists collected by cartoonist Charles Alan Wagner, 1948- , of Peru, Indiana.

The Minnesota Review mss., 1973-1981, consist of the correspondence, printers manuscripts, and proofs of the New Series of the literary magazine published first in Madison, Wisconsin, and later in Bloomington, Indiana.

The Walker, Bruce mss., 1973-1974, consists of the letters of author Robert Bloch, 1917-1994 to Bruce Walker, artist of Largo, Florida.

The Kennedy mss., 1972, consists of four hand-colored lithographs of author Virginia Woolf, 1882-1941.

The Greer, Robin mss., 1963-1967, consists of concrete poetry materials gathered by bookseller Robin Greer, 1943-2015.

The Loujon Press mss., 1962-1969, consists of correspondence to Jon and Louise Webb of the Loujon Press from friends, printers, literary figures, and patrons dealing with the struggle of the Webbs to operate an independent fine printing business, as well as color separations of drawings by Henry Miller.

The Juster mss., ca. 1961-2007, consists of the personal papers of author Norton Juster, 1929- .

The Breton mss., 1961-1975, consist of works written by Jean Breton, 1930- , poet, born at Avignon, France, some of which are accompanied by letters to Breton.

The Borregaard mss., 1961-1965, consists of the papers of Ebbe Borregaard, 1933-, publisher of Oannes Press in San Francisco, California.

The Stein, Marvin mss., ca. 1960-1980, consist of storyboards for several of Stein's book illustration projects for Barnell Loft Ltd.

The Hartley, Duncan mss., 1959-2001, consists of Heart's Needle, a series of photographs by Duncan Hartley, 1942-, in memory of poet W.D. Snodgrass, 1926-2009.

The Ackroyd mss., 1959-1967, consists of letters written to artist Graham Ackroyd, 1920-, from author Philip Kenneth Callow, 1924-2007.

The Lewicki mss., ca. 1958-1962, consist of research notes, photographs of family members used as models for characters, and the original artwork of James Lewicki, 1917-1980, for Life magazine's series on American Folklore.

The Evans, Henry mss., 1958, are original linoleum blocks cut by Rick Barton. All of them were later printed by Henry Evans at the Perigrine Press, a hand press in San Francisco operated by Evans and devoted to contemporary graphic art, and published by the Porpoise Bookshop in San Francisco.

The Wrage mss., 1957, consist of sketches by Klaus Wrage, 1891-1971, illustrator, upon which some of the block prints in his Dante Blockbuch... [Eutin, am Kellersee], Handabzug- Holmpresse-Klaus Wrage, [1957], are based. (Lilly PQ4303 .W7).
